Job summary

Cater Care invites applications for a Chef at Mangrove Jacks, Cairns Airport, Cairns, QLD. This permanent part-time role offers a minimum of 30 hours per week with shifts across mornings, weekends and evenings in a tropical hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience, holds a current driver’s licence, and is capable of delivering high-quality meals while maintaining HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or 5+ years’ equivalent kitchen experience
• Previous commercial kitchen experience
• Current driver’s licence
• Own reliable vehicle
• Available across 7 days, between 4:00am–10:00pm
• Reliable, team-focused and passionate about quality food

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook quality meals to a high standard
• Assist with daily kitchen operations and service
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
• Assist with stock control, food preparation and rotation
• Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team
• Help deliver a great dining experience for every customer
