Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a passionate Chef for Mangrove Jacks, Cairns Airport, Cairns, QLD. This permanent part-time role offers a base rate of 31.30 AUD per hour with penalties for weekends, holidays, and odd hours. Minimum 30 hours/week across 5 shifts, with car parking and laundry allowances.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or 5+ years' kitchen experience.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Availability across 7 days, 4:00am–10:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook quality meals to a high standard.
• Assist with daily kitchen operations and service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen.
• Assist with stock control, food prep and rotation.
• Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Help deliver a great dining experience for every customer.
