Job summary

Woollahra Council is seeking a Landscape Referral Officer to protect and enhance the urban forest. You will assess landscape and tree-related referrals tied to development applications, providing clear, evidence-based guidance to stakeholders and ensuring timely, compliant processing.

The ideal candidate holds arboriculture qualifications, with experience in tree impact assessments and reports. A strong customer service ethic and professional judgement are essential for successful collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent.
• Strong arboriculture technical knowledge and planning controls.
• Experience assessing development impacts on trees and reviewing technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Assess landscape and tree-related referrals for development applications.
• Provide high-quality technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure referrals are completed within required timeframes and comply with legislation.
