Treescape Australasia is expanding its utilities vegetation management crews across Brisbane and surrounding areas. We are seeking experienced Tree Climbers to support planned work around live electrical infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality outcomes as part of a professional crew.

The role involves climbing trees, pruning, and maintaining powerline clearances, while operating within regulated electrical corridors and roadside environments.

Qualifications

• Proven tree climbing experience in utilities vegetation work.
• Arboriculture qualifications are highly regarded.
• MR Driver Licence and reliable transport required.
• Experience in utilities vegetation management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using approved techniques and equipment to prune and remove vegetation near powerlines.
• Maintain required powerline clearances while working safely in regulated corridors.
• Perform aerial tree work following utility specs and industry standards.
• Assist with vegetation management tasks as directed by crew leaders.
• Follow Safe Systems of Work, risk controls and site requirements.
• Inspect and maintain climbing equipment and tools.

About the Role

Treescape is expanding its utilities vegetation management crews across Brisbane and is seeking experienced and safety-focused Tree Climbers to support planned vegetation management works within overhead electricity distribution networks.This is utilities vegetation management work carried out around live electrical infrastructure. If you're an experienced climber who is comfortable working at heights, following strict safe systems of work, and delivering quality vegetation outcomes as part of a professional crew, we'd like to hear from you.

The Work

• Climbing trees using approved climbing techniques and equipment
• Performing pruning and vegetation removal to maintain required powerline clearances
• Working safely within regulated electrical corridors and roadside environments
• Conducting aerial tree work in accordance with utility specifications and industry standards
• Assisting with vegetation management activities as required by crew leaders
• Following all Safe Systems of Work, risk controls and site-specific requirements
• Inspecting and maintaining climbing equipment and tools

Utilities Requirements

• Previous tree climbing experience is essential
• Arboriculture qualifications highly regarded
• Experience working within utilities vegetation management is preferredMR Driver Licence and reliable transport required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and undertake physically demanding work
• Willingness to complete network inductions and utility access requirements (if not already held)Pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol testing, is mandatory
• Compliance and safety are non-negotiable—we will support required training where appropriate
