Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Teacher of Travel & Tourism (Aboriginal Targeted) on a permanent part-time basis (0.5 FTE) with base location negotiable across NSW. The role requires regular travel across NSW to support delivery and involves delivering the Certificate III in Guiding program.

You will draw on industry experience to train students to lead tour groups, share Indigenous knowledge, and foster a culturally safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum subject knowledge with vocational relevance.
• Ability to travel regularly across NSW for delivery.
• Evidence of teaching qualifications or willingness to undertake the Paid to Learn course.
• Minimum three years post-qualification experience within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Certificate III in Guiding, enabling students to build career-ready skills.
• Help students develop tour-leading, customer service and knowledge-sharing abilities.
• Lead engaging, safe and inclusive learning experiences across multiple locations.
• Deliver SITTGDE019 content on Australian Indigenous cultures and protocols.
