Job summary

L’Oréal Melbourne-based Retail Manager - Skincare, Travel Retail APAC (ANZ) drives sell-out performance across Australia and New Zealand airport duty-free counters. A Day in the Life

Based at our Melbourne office, you lead retail excellence and sell-out performance for L'Oréal skincare brands across Australia and New Zealand airport duty-free locations, reporting directly to the Area Manager. This is an office-based role with regular, frequent travel across ANZ airport terminals to stay close to our teams, retail partners, and dynamic passenger flows.

• Drive sell-out targets, regional market share, and commercial growth across designated skincare counters.
• Build strong commercial partnerships with travel retail operators to negotiate promotional space, expand distribution, and uphold brand image.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Digital teams to deliver seamless online and offline retail activations.
• Recruit, coach, and motivate Beauty Advisors, setting point-of-sale objectives and fostering an inclusive, high-performing field culture.
• Partner with the Education team to implement training programmes and use mystery shopping feedback to elevate service quality.
• Monitor stock levels, track operational budgets, and channel customer and competitor intelligence to regional leadership.

You bring commercial drive, retail rigor, and the adaptability required for regular travel across the region. You bring:

• Retail Operations & Excellence: Demonstrated capability to drive sell-out growth, uphold merchandising standards, and deliver seamless retail execution in high-traffic travel environments.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities across airport commercial partners and internal multi-functional teams.
• People Development: Proven track record in coaching, onboarding, and empowering field teams and Beauty Advisors.
• Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Confident analysing sales performance, managing stock flow, and translating insights into concrete retail action plans.
• Operational Follow-Through: Ability to manage budgets, balance competing priorities, and navigate frequent interstate and trans-Tasman travel.
