Job summary

Orica seeks a Technical Services Engineer to join our Pilbara operations with a preferred base in Perth, WA. The role involves hands-on blasting support, including blast design and Electronic Blasting Systems (EBS), with regular travel to mine sites across the Pilbara region.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver projects, improve blast outcomes, and apply cutting-edge blasting technologies. A mining background and a proactive, safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in shotfiring and mining operations is required.
• Open-cut mining knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Support technical blasting projects that add value to customer operations.
• Assist with blast design and on-site technical support, including EBS systems.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to execute projects.
• Build relationships with site stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on blasting practices and product application.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across blasting operations.
• Develop technical capability through training and practice.
