Job summary

Carpentaria in Darwin is seeking a Casual Youth Worker to provide safe, trauma-informed support for young people aged 12–18. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and life skills, while maintaining a structured, nurturing home environment and meaningful family connections.

The role requires a Certificate IV or the ability to obtain, experience in Out of Home Care, and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or ability to obtain.
• Experience in residential care, youth services or Out of Home Care.
• Knowledge of child protection legislation and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed support to young people aged 12–18.
• Work with a multidisciplinary care team to promote resilience and life skills.
