Anglicare North Queensland Limited (Anglicare NQ) seeks a committed residential care worker to support children and young people under statutory orders within our 24/7 residential/SILS services. You will foster a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed environment and help participants engage in development opportunities.

The role requires shift work, roster flexibility, and a strong commitment to diversity, safety and cultural safety, with a focus on family, community connection and voice of the young

Qualifications

• Minimum mandatory qualification is Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent approved course).
• Experience engaging with children/young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.
• Ability to encourage emotional regulation and healing through positive behaviour strategies.

Responsabilités

• Provide care, support, supervision and guidance to children and young people.
• Fulfil shift duties, undertake practical household tasks and maintain a safe homelike environment.
• Assist with Support Plan goals and liaise with service providers.
