Queensland Department of Education seeks a dedicated Student Support Officer for Pacific Pines State High School to promote student wellbeing and participation in learning. The role supports students facing complex social, emotional, family, or wellbeing challenges through trauma-aware, strengths-based approaches and strong collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies.

Responsabilidades

• Develop data collection and management systems and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, community members and Elders, contributing to local decision-making.
• Engage with families through communication and home visits to encourage school attendance and identify educational, social, emotional and behavioural concerns.
• Monitor student behaviour and wellbeing, coordinate interventions and contribute to a team-based approach to addressing concerns.
• Lead initiatives that promote a positive and supportive school environment, mediate between the school and community, and develop strategies to improve communication and resolve issues.
