Job summary

FLEXI, part of Edmund Rice Education Australia, invites applications for a Teacher at the Burdekin Education Program. The role reports to the Head of Campus and Area Principal to plan and deliver engaging programs for middle and secondary learners, including students with diverse needs.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education, be registered, have First Aid, a driver’s licence, and at least three years of teaching experience; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education required; registration with teaching authority.
• First Aid certificate or ability to obtain.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience, normally with at least three years of professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning programs for middle and secondary learners.
• Create flexible, innovative curriculum to engage Young People.
• Plan and implement learning programs meeting legislative requirements and supporting learners with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with staff to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment reflecting classroom diversity.
• Apply trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive approaches to support engagement and outcomes.
• Proactively build relationships with young people, families/carers and the community.
