Job summary

Veritas House Inc. is seeking a Permanent Part time Residential Youth Worker based in Orange, NSW. You will support vulnerable young people in crisis accommodation and help them move toward sustainable housing through day-to-day support and skill development.

The role operates on a four-week rotating roster with day, weekend and sleepover shifts. You will work in a trauma-informed, collaborative team committed to safety, inclusion and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Youth Work or related field (or enrolled and actively working towards).
• Current Driver Licence.
• NSW Working With Children Check.
• National Criminal History Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks).
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.

Responsibilities

• Build positive and professional relationships with young people.
• Provide day-to-day support within a residential setting.
• Help young people develop independent living and life skills.
• Assist access to housing, education, employment and community services.
• Contribute to case management plans and goal setting.
• Advocate for young people and support access to services.
• Maintain accurate case notes and client records.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive environment.
