The Buttery in Port Macquarie is seeking a part-time Mental Health Support Coordinator for the Way Back program. You will provide non-clinical psychosocial support to individuals experiencing suicidal crisis, delivering outreach and safety planning in collaboration with clinical and community services.

The role involves coordinating care across Port Macquarie and Kempsey regions, with hybrid work arrangements and a funding end date of 30 June 2027.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or higher in AOD, Social Work, Psychology or Mental Health.
• Current driver’s licence, satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Two years’ work experience in community services/mental health with experience in suicide prevention.
• Experience providing case management for persons with complex support needs and trauma-informed care for suicide crisis.

Aufgaben

• Provide non-clinical, trauma-informed psychosocial support to individuals who have attempted suicide or are in crisis.
• Deliver up to three months of proactive outreach and co-create practical safety and support plans.
• Coordinate with clinical and community services to support recovery and connect people with needed resources.
