Anglicare Sydney is hiring a Financial Capability Caseworker to provide short‑term financial support and coaching to individuals and families experiencing financial stress. You will conduct trauma‑informed assessments, develop practical money plans and build financial knowledge in collaboration with local services.

You will work in a community‑facing role, engaging with diverse clients and networks to deliver holistic support and sustainable change.

Formación

• Degree in Social Work, Community Services or a related discipline, or diploma/other relevant qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience working with diverse or disadvantaged communities.
• Financial Literacy Education certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong case management skills, including goal setting, monitoring progress and adapting support as client needs change.
• Experience using client databases or CRM systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills.
• Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide targeted, short‑term financial capability casework to individuals and families.
• Complete person‑centred and trauma‑informed assessments to understand financial needs.
• Develop money plans and budget reviews to improve money management.
• Create client-led case plans with practical goals and build financial knowledge and confidence.
• Offer strengths‑based financial coaching to encourage positive behaviour change.
• Advocate for clients and make warm referrals to services and supports.
• Collaborate with counsellors, pantries and hubs to provide holistic support.
• Maintain confidential client records and support program outcomes.
