Job summary

Australian Childhood Foundation in Bairnsdale is seeking a Navigator Program practitioner to provide intensive case management and trauma-informed outreach for students disengaged from education. The part-time role is based in Sale and Bairnsdale with travel across Outer Gippsland on a fixed-term basis to 31 December 2027.

You will work with schools, families and communities, applying evidence-informed interventions, delivering supports and collaborating with staff to re-engage learners while

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work.
• Eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
• Knowledge of trauma, attachment, development, disability and neurobiology.
• Ability to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management and outreach to disengaged students.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners across Outer Gippsland.
• Deliver evidence-informed therapeutic interventions and supports.
• Liaise with educators and other professionals to re-engage learners.
