Job summary

Women's Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) extends an invitation for a Social Worker to support women facing domestic and family violence across regional, rural and remote Queensland. The role provides trauma-informed case management, risk assessment and safety planning, with referrals and advocacy under a client-centred, culturally safe model.

The position also builds stakeholder networks and supports education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience providing trauma-informed, case management and advocacy support for women experiencing domestic and family violence.
• Strong communication skills with clients in high-stress situations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, trauma-informed social work services including risk assessment and safety planning.
• Deliver outreach and on-site social work services at clinics, including referrals and needs assessments.
• Collaborate with legal and non-legal staff to ensure client needs are met.
• Maintain case notes and data for reporting; participate in education and stakeholder engagement.
