Job summary

NSW Health's Northern Sydney Sexual Assault Service seeks experienced professionals to provide crisis counselling and ongoing support to children and adults affected by sexual violence, including families of young victims.

Two 38-hour per week roles are available: Permanent Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time until 02 February 2027. Applicants must be registered with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligible for the AASW; female applicants only apply under the Anti-Discrimination Act.

Qualifications

• Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for AASW.
• Postgraduate experience at level 2 or above.
• Female applicants only under Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis counselling and ongoing counselling to children and adults affected by sexual assault.
• Conduct integrated counselling and case management for victims and families.
• Support children under ten with problematic sexual behaviours and their families.
