Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Nowra NSW is seeking an Aboriginal Service Support Specialist to provide tailored, trauma-informed support for vulnerable Aboriginal people within established program parameters. The role works directly with clients, local service providers and community networks to ensure a holistic response and ongoing program development.

The position requires a NSW Driver's Licence and WWCC, and is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver's Licence
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) as required by law

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored, trauma-informed support for vulnerable Aboriginal individuals and families within program parameters.
• Collaborate with clients, local service providers and community networks to ensure a holistic response.
• Maintain focus on client needs while contributing to program growth and development.
• Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships across service providers and the AHO.
• Work within program guidelines while balancing varied community and client needs.
