Job summary

Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) in Preston, VIC, is hiring for a Fixed Term, Full-Time Family Violence Case Manager. You will provide culturally safe case management, advocacy and practical support to Aboriginal women, children and families, working with community and partner services to achieve safety and wellbeing outcomes.

Required is a tertiary qualification in Social Work/ Psychology/ Community Services or willingness to obtain, plus valid checks and a driver licence.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or related field, or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Police Check and Victorian Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (strongly recommended).

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe case management, advocacy and practical support.
• Collaborate with community and partner services to improve safety and wellbeing for families.
• Engage with Aboriginal women, children and families to support healing and positive change.
