People Group is recruiting X4 Tug Operators for Melbourne to work AM and PM shifts. Open curtains, unload trailers, and prepare for hitching while maintaining high safety and customer service standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year HC experience (tug driving preferred) and knowledge of load restraints and transport legislation. The role offers hourly pay up to $35 plus super and penalties.

Competenze

• Minimum 1 year HC experience; Tug driving preferred with finger dock experience.
• Extensive experience with coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Good understanding of load restraint and safety procedures.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Close tautliner curtains after unloading before returning to the chevron.
• Ensure full trailers are left where required on the chevron/logistics place.
• Empty trailers to be left ready for hitching by prime movers.
• Ensure trailer numbers match load documentation.
• Record all times relevant to arrivals, docking, and departure.
• Ensure pallet dockets are with trailer loads and are completed correctly.
• Complete the daily load sheet.

About the role

Being the face of our operation, you will be held to a high standard of customer service and excellent safety standards. This contract logistics company servicing some of the country’s biggest companies, and currently require X4 Tug Operators to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Open tautliner curtains ready for unloading after arrival on the docks.
• Close tautliner curtains after unloading before returning to the chevron.
• Ensure full trailers are left where required on the chevron/logistics place.
• Empty trailers to be left ready for hitching by prime movers.
• Ensure trailer numbers match load documentation
• Record all times relevant to arrivals, docking, and departure.
• Ensure pallet dockets are with trailer loads and are completed correctly.
• Complete the daily load sheet.

Hours will be:

• Monday to Friday |10:00 am to 6: 00 pm

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED
