Job summary

Toll Group is hiring casual HR Drivers to deliver gas cylinders across Melbourne and surrounding areas from Preston. This hands-on role involves multi-drop deliveries, manual handling and setting up cylinders at customer sites.

The position offers a pathway to a permanent full-time role for the right candidate, with starts around 6:00am and a typical 8–12 hour day. A strong safety focus and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Current HR Licence with approx. 2 years of truck driving experience.
• DG (Dangerous Goods) preferred.
• LF Forklift Licence preferred.
• Synchromesh gearbox preferred.
• Ability to provide a recent driving history report.
• Police check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience highly regarded.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including Cor obligations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gas cylinders to hospitals, pubs, industrial sites and other customers across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Operate an HR flatbed truck with caged body.
• Safely unload and reload cylinders using tail lift and trolley.
• Set up cylinders at customer sites as required.
• Multi-drop deliveries across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Follow safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.

Job description

Toll Recruit are seeking casual HR Drivers to join Toll Group, delivering gas cylinders to customers across the healthcare, industrial and hospitality sectors. Based in Preston, this is a Monday to Friday role involving multi-drop deliveries throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas.

This is a hands‑on position requiring regular manual handling, including the safe unloading, reloading and set‑up of gas cylinders at customer sites. The role offers the opportunity to transition from casual employment to a permanent full‑time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver gas cylinders to hospitals, pubs, industrial sites and other commercial customers across Melbourne and surrounding areas, including locations such as Preston, Dandenong, Geelong and Ballarat.
• Operate an HR flatbed truck with caged body.
• Use tail lift and trolley to safely unload and reload cylinders ( manual handling )
• Set up cylinders at customer sites as required.
• Multi-drop deliveries across Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.

What we're looking for
