Sydney Freezers is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team in Bankstown, NSW on a contract basis. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our workforce, maintain payroll records, and support financial operations.

The role requires knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, experience in payroll software and Excel, and strong numerical and communication skills to handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing, preferably within Australiaʼs Transport & Rail sector.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills, including handling confidential information discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax details, and deductions.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management review.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
