Job summary

The Sydney-based Local Council is seeking a Transport Planning Specialist on a 12-month maternity cover contract. You will support the Urban Policy and Planning team to develop transport planning strategies across the Council area, taking a Complete Streets approach to town centres and transport across the city.

Responsibilities include advising on proposals, delivering reports, and coordinating with consultants while engaging with the community and stakeholders to identify needs and respond to

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport Planning; council experience desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams across Council.
• Extensive knowledge of Roads Act 1993 and Roads Transport Act 2013.
• Experience in managing individual projects and meeting deadlines.

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Our client is a Sydney Based Local Council that is looking for a Temporary 12-month contract role to contribute to multiple current and future projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone that is looking to make an impact to rejuvenate the local community.

ABOUT THE ROLE.

You will be supporting the Urban Policy and Planning team to formulate key transport planning strategies and plans for the Council Area. This will include taking a Complete Streets approach to town centres in developing transportation across the city. Providing guidance to key stakeholders, influential comments on relevant proposals and development assessments and coordinating consultants are all critical elements of the role.

REMUNERATIONS & BENEFITS.

• $66 to $72 per hour + Super


• 12 Month contract
