DHL Supply Chain Melbourne is seeking a hands-on PM Shift Transport Operations Manager to lead our Linehaul and PUD operations. You will drive safety, service and efficiency while empowering a high-performing team and maintaining strong customer focus.

The role requires leading change, improving processes, and ensuring CoR and WHS compliance in a fast-paced environment. Shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport, distribution or logistics operations.
• Proven track record developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of transport routing, planning and operational efficiencies.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sound understanding of the Victorian transport network and distribution environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop an established transport operations team
• Oversee daily Linehaul, pallet, carton and PUD activities
• Drive service, safety and operational performance outcomes
• Manage transport routing efficiencies and resource utilisation
• Build strong relationships across operational and customer teams
• Lead and embed continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), WHS and fatigue management requirements
• Monitor, analyse and report on operational KPIs
• Facilitate effective communication and handovers between PM and AM teams

About the Role

As the PM Shift Transport Operations Manager, you will lead the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of our Linehaul and Pick Up & Delivery operations.

You’ll be empowered to make decisions, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead a high-performing team while ensuring service, safety, productivity, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, WHS and industrial relations within transport operations
• Linehaul operations experience highly regarded
• The ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
