Job summary

Linfox Australia is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead freight operations for a major customer based out of Gillman, South Australia. You will take ownership of safe, compliant and cost-efficient freight solutions, and oversee linehaul operations, subcontractor networks and final-mile deliveries.

You will build strong customer relationships, drive operational performance, monitor profitability and champion safety and fatigue management across all transport activities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing linehaul transport operations within the Logistics/Transport industry.
• Proven leadership capability across transport, warehouse or operational teams.
• Strong understanding of transport safety, fatigue management and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing subcontractor and carrier relationships.
• Tech-savvy with experience using Transport Management Systems.

• Lead daily transport planning and freight dispatch across the Intermodal network.
• Coordinate subcontractor and driver resources to meet service commitments safely and efficiently.
• Deliver final-mile transport solutions across a multi-site retail network.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence.
• Monitor operational performance, profitability and cost outcomes against contracts.
• Champion safety, fatigue management and compliance standards across transport activities.

What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal have an opportunity for a Transport Manager to support freight operations for a major customer based out of Gillman, South Australia. In your new role, you'll take ownership in delivering safe, compliant and cost-effective freight solutions for one of Australia's largest brands. You will lead subcontractor linehaul operations, coordinating final-mile store deliveries, maintaining strong customer relationships and driving operational performance across a high profile customer.

This is a full‑time opportunity, working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30am. Key areas:

• Lead daily transport planning and freight dispatch activities across the Intermodal network
• Coordinate subcontractor and driver resources to ensure service commitments are achieved safely and efficiently
• Deliver final-mile transport solutions across a multi‑site retail distribution network. Based on user‑provided Job Brief Summary.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and key internal stakeholders to support operational excellence
• Monitor operational performance, profitability and cost outcomes against contractual requirements

Are you the one?

You are an experienced transport or logistics leader with a strong background managing linehaul operations, subcontractor networks and customer‑focused transport services. You enjoy solving problems, working autonomously, analysing costs and leveraging systems to optimise operational performance. You can demonstrate:

• 2-3 years of experience managing linehaul transport operations within the Logistics/Transport industry
• Proven leadership capability across transport, warehouse or operational teams
• Strong understanding of transport safety, fatigue management and compliance requirements
• Experience managing subcontractor and carrier relationships
• You're tech savvy and have experience working with Transport Management Systems
