Job summary

Stratco Australia Pty Limited seeks an exceptional Dispatch Manager to lead our transport, dispatch and yard operations, ensuring products move safely and on time from manufacturing through to customer delivery and branch locations.

Reporting to the State Manager, you will optimise loading, planning and fleet utilisation, drive cost reductions, and develop a high-performing team while maintaining a culture of safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatch, transport, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• Strong experience leading operational teams in manufacturing, transport or distribution.
• Relentless focus on safety, customer service and continuous improvement.

We're seeking an exceptional Dispatch Manager to lead our transport, dispatch and yard operations, ensuring products move safely, efficiently and on time from manufacturing through to customer delivery and branch locations. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll drive transport efficiency, optimise loading and dispatch operations, improve fleet utilisation and create a culture of operational excellence.

Your remit

Reporting to the State Manager, you will lead the daily coordination of dispatch and transport activities across a busy manufacturing environment.

• Improve transport management utilisation and delivery efficiency
• Drive operational improvements that reduce costs and increase productivity
• Optimise dispatch schedules and delivery planning
• Ensure safe, accurate and damage-free loading practices
• Create a culture focused on accountability, safety and operational excellence
• Lead and develop a high-performing dispatch and yard team
• Enhance customer delivery performance and service levels

You’ll oversee dispatch operations, transport scheduling, yard management, customer pick-ups and loading activities while ensuring safety remains front and centre in everything you do.

About you

You are a proactive and passionate transport/logistics/dispatch leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys balancing people leadership with operational performance. You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in dispatch, transport, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations
• Strong experience leading operational teams in a manufacturing, transport or distribution environment
• Demonstrated success improving transport efficiency, service performance and operational productivityExcellent planning, scheduling and problem-solving capabilities
• A relentless focus on safety, customer service and continuous improvement
• Strong systems and data analysis capability
