Job summary

Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking an experienced Transport Driver to join the Transport team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will shuttle guests around Hamilton Island, provide safe, friendly transport, and share your knowledge of the island's facilities and attractions.

As part of the Transport team, you will operate scheduled services, assist guests with boarding and luggage, and maintain a high standard of customer service and vehicle safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum QLD Medium Rigid (MR) Driver Licence (Essential).
• QLD Industry Authority or eligibility to obtain one (Essential).
• Clean driving record and strong commitment to road safety.
• Previous bus driving experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service focus and professional presentation.
• Ability to operate safely in a busy resort environment.
• Confidence providing commentary and engaging with passengers.
• Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including evenings and weekends.
• Previous tourism, resort or tour guiding experience (Highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport guests between the airport, accommodation and island attractions.
• Operate scheduled island shuttle services and after-hours taxi operations.
• Welcome guests and provide engaging commentary about Hamilton Island.
• Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking and luggage handling.
• Deliver friendly and professional customer service throughout each journey.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide information about island facilities.
• Follow transport schedules and operational procedures efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with road safety regulations and HIE policies.
• Work collaboratively with the Transport team to ensure reliable guest services.

Your Role
