Job summary

Mondiale VGL is seeking a Transport Allocator in Australia to join our logistics team. You’ll convert run sheets into driver allocations, coordinating start times and real-time progress to ensure deliveries are executed smoothly each day.

In this busy role you’ll communicate with drivers and customers, maintain container records, and uphold fatigue policies and safety standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in transport allocation, freight/logistics coordination, or dispatch in road transport or cartage environments.
• Experience in high-volume, time-pressured operations is highly valued.
• Experience with side loader/container operations and dehire management is a strong plus.
• Nice to have: Driver Fatigue accreditation/training, Chain of Responsibility knowledge, Dangerous Goods awareness/certification.

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers and jobs from run sheets and orders for the following day.
• Track driver progress in real time and pre-assign subsequent tasks to avoid downtime.
• Confirm each driver's start time by radio and log it on the allocation records.
• Keep customers informed by phone and email when plans shift to ensure visibility of deliveries.
• Maintain accurate container delivery/dehire records and reconcile daily.
• Uphold Mondiale VGL's Driver Fatigue Policy and flag dangerous goods for compliant handling.
