Job summary

AusNet Services Ltd in Victoria is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission to lead the delivery of Transmission projects that strengthen and renew Victoria’s electricity network. Reporting to the Group Leader, Transmission Delivery, the role is anchored in Malvern with flexibility to work from home or other depots, plus site engagement across Victoria.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, manage a portfolio of projects, and engage with customers, developers, councils and regulators to deliver on

Qualifications

Proven Project Management experience in infrastructure or construction environments.
Experience in transmission, energy, renewables, rail, water or oil & gas (brownfields preferred).
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence complex stakeholder groups.
Proactive, resilient and self-starting approach to delivery.
Comfort operating in a hands-on PM role (not IT/PMO-only).

Responsibilities

End-to-end delivery of Transmission projects, including grid interface connections and asset upgrades.
Manage a portfolio of concurrent projects (typically 5–7) with varying size and complexity.
Engage internal and external stakeholders, including customers, developers, councils and regulators.
Oversee budgets, forecasts, variations and extensions of time.
Hands-on project controls including scheduling (MS Project), reporting and governance.
