Job summary

UGL Pty Limited in North Sydney is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design and deliver transmission line projects across Australia, contributing to tenders and live programs. You will work in a technically strong team, developing PLS-CADD models and providing inputs on constructability, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting project delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in the transmission line industry.
Strong experience in transmission line design and engineering delivery.
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS Tower and PLS Pole.
Solid understanding of tower and foundation design principles.

Responsibilities

Deliver transmission line design work including modelling and detailed engineering outputs.
Develop PLS-CADD models and support PLS Tower and PLS Pole design activities.
Produce line design reports, stringing charts, plan and profile drawings.
Perform engineering calculations and develop technical specifications and documentation.
Conduct constructability assessments and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Liaise with geotechnical engineers, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
Provide technical support across tendering, construction and project delivery phases.
