Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist for Transformer Services & Digital Solutions in Smithfield, NSW. You will be the technical authority supporting customers, service teams, and project stakeholders to improve asset reliability and performance.

You will lead engineering design reviews, provide advanced fault analysis, and deliver training on transformer operation and digital solutions, while ensuring safety and compliance with Australian standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Extensive experience in Power Transformers, transformer services, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, or asset management.
Experience with transformer monitoring systems, digital solutions, condition assessment, and diagnostic technologies.
Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Act as technical subject matter expert for transformer services and digital solutions.
Develop and recommend technical solutions meeting customer requirements and business objectives.
Lead engineering design reviews ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Provide advanced troubleshooting, fault analysis, and technical support for complex transformer issues.
Review service reports and field findings to improve reliability and asset life.
