Job summary

Curtin University seeks a proactive Business Analyst to support transformative research initiatives and unlock insights from enterprise data. You will work with senior analysts on a high-profile transformation project connecting business processes to digital systems for efficiency and data-informed decisions.

Role involves workshops, process mapping, testing coordination and change management within the Research Transformations team, contributing to Curtin's strategic research improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience mapping and improving business processes with stakeholders.
• Experience on fast-paced transformation programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process and system requirements.
• Organisational and project coordination skills in structured environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication for stakeholder discussions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Understanding of ICT standards and trends.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business owners to understand challenges, clarify needs and define future-state requirements.
• Analyse current processes, systems and data to identify opportunities for improvement and support informed decision-making.
• Map and document current and future-state processes, business rules, requirements and solution options.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders and technical specialists to shape practical, user-focused solutions.
• Support project delivery by coordinating testing, implementation planning, milestones, tasks and required resources.
• Prepare clear SOP documentation, guidance and communications to support new processes, procedures and system enhancements.
• Contribute to change management activities, helping users understand and adopt new or improved systems and ways of working.
• Review outcomes following implementation and contribute to ongoing service and process improvement.
• Model Curtin's values and professional standards while undertaking other reasonable duties aligned with the role.
