Job summary

Ivory Group is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join their Learning & Development team in Sydney on a temporary up-to-5-month contract. You will coordinate training across departments, focusing on safety, compliance and practical programs.

The role offers hybrid work options, a 35-hour week and a convenient location near public transport. Suitable candidates will have Training/L&D or Instructional Design experience, preferably with council or Local Government exposure.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Training, L&D, or Instructional Design.
  • Public sector/local government experience highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance training requirements.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication.

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Our Client based on the Lower North Shore, Sydney, is looking for an experienced Training Specialist to join their Learning & Development team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys training and wants to deliver practical learning solutions across a diverse workforce.

ABOUT THE ROLE.

Temporary opportunity - Up to 5 months. In this role, you will manage and coordinate Council's training activities, working closely with managers and operational teams to understand training needs and deliver practical programs. You will be responsible for coordinating training across a range of areas, with a strong focus on safety, compliance and operational requirements.

  • Design practical training programs and initiatives
  • Partner with managers to identify needs

  • Maintain training plans, records and documentation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Relevant experience in Training, L&D, Instructional Design, or similar
  • Experience working in Council or Local Government highly regarded
  • Understanding of safety and compliance training
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail andcommunication skills
REMUNERATIONs & BENEFITS.
  • $60-$65 p/h + Super
  • Hybrid working available - Up to 2 days
