Working with Education Specialists and subject matter experts, you will facilitate instructor-led sessions and workshops, ensuring learners understand changes and achieve capability uplift.

We are looking for a highly organised Training Specialist to join a high performing federal government team. This position's primary purpose is the planning, coordination and delivery of engaging, accessible and high-quality training programs for internal staff.

Working closely with Education Specialists, business areas and subject matter experts, this position will facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops and capability uplift activities that support learners to understand changes.

You’ll be a natural relationship builder with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitating virtual and face-to-face learning activities
  • Building strong relationships with agency staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinating training logistics, including scheduling, learner communications, attendance management, venue or virtual platform readiness, and training support activities.
  • Assessing participant understanding throughout training sessions and adjust facilitation techniques accordingly to support learning outcomes.
  • Analysing and reporting on participant feedback and training outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery and recommend enhancements to learning approaches, resources and learner support mechanisms.
  • Representing the agency at meetings, training events and engagement forums through both verbal and written communication.
  • Remaining informed of adult learning principles, facilitation best practices and contemporary learning and capability development approaches.
We’re looking for someone who has:
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating engaging instructor-led training, workshops or capability development programs.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience delivering learning in both virtual and face-to-face environments.
  • Ability to explain complex policy, legislative, business process or system information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills, including coordinating multiple training activities and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
