Job summary

Rocky Bay in Western Australia seeks an experienced Trainer to join the Training, Education and Learning team. You will design, deliver and assess accredited and non-accredited training across disability and aged care services to build capability, confidence and compliance of our workforce and external participants.

You will deliver CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support with Disability and Ageing specialisations, along with non-accredited programs, and maintain accurate records to meet

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent credential that meets current VET trainer and assessor requirements
• Relevant vocational qualifications, skills and current industry experience in disability, aged care, individual support or community services
• Experience delivering and assessing competency-based accredited training
• Demonstrated ability to deliver manual handling refresher training
• Knowledge of Person Centred Active Support, professional boundaries, report writing and incident management
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and meet compliance and reporting requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, assess and evaluate training that supports safe, person-centred and contemporary practice
• Deliver and assess CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability and Ageing
• Facilitate a range of non-accredited and refresher programs
• Training delivery will include manual handling refresher training, Person Centred Active Support, professional boundaries and report writing

This role will support the delivery of high-quality accredited and non-accredited training across disability and aged care services, helping build the capability, confidence and compliance of our workforce and external participants.

About you:

You will be a confident facilitator with strong industry knowledge, current vocational competence and a genuine commitment to supporting adult learners. You will understand the importance of accessible, practical and engaging training that translates into safe and effective workplace practice.
