Job summary

selectability Training, a not-for-profit RTO in Townsville, is seeking a Trainer and Assessor to deliver online training and mentoring across disability and community services courses. You will conduct high‑quality sessions, assess learner performance through practical and theoretical tasks, and provide constructive feedback via video conference or telephone.

selectability Training is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO 0281) based in Townsville, specialising in disability and community services training. Owned and operated by leading regional Queensland mental wellbeing, suicide prevention and NDIS service provider selectability.

About the Candidate
  • Highly developed person-centred communication skills

  • A demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes, * TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; OR
  • TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; OR
  • TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (plus either TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A, and either TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B)
Highly desirable
  • CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health
  • CHC40321 Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
  • CHC43515 Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work
  • CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health
  • CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services
  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)
  • Qualified to deliver Mental Health First Aid
Role requirements
  • A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
  • A current minimum P1 'C' class Queensland drivers licence
