Cimic Group, part of the Eva Copper Mine Alliance with Thiess, is seeking a Training Coordinator to drive safety training, record-keeping and competency mapping on site in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

You will coordinate training plans, inductions and course bookings, leading Training Specialists while ensuring compliance with legislative and Thiess requirements. This role offers ongoing development in a major mining project.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all functional safety and training issues on site, maintaining records and reports.
• Manage course bookings, onsite training and inductions.
• Lead a team of Training Specialists and Crew Trainers across the site.
• Ensure site data aligns with the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Create and maintain site training plans and conduct TNA analyses.
• Develop and maintain proficiency- and new-to-industry training outcomes.
• Organise training activities ensuring compliance with legislative and Thiess requirements.
• Coordinate Emergency Response Team training.

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

While this role forms part of the Eva Copper Alliance, employment will be ongoing with Thiess, with recruitment and employment managed by Thiess.

The opportunity

Are you enthusiastic and driven with a passion for Training and compliance? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Training Coordinator to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for coordination of all functional safety and training issues on site including the maintenance of relevant records and reports.

Roster: 5:2 | Location: Eva Copper, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent

As the Training Coordinator, you will:

• Assist with the management of site gate competency compliance
• Manage course bookings, onsite training and inductions
• Manage a team of Training Specialists and Crew Trainers across the site
• Manage the site data to ensure compliance with the Learning Management System
• Create and maintain site training plans
• Maintaining the site training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholders
• Develop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomes
• Develop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on “new to the industry” engagement
• Organise training activities while ensuring adherence to all legislative and Thiess requirements
• Coordination of Emergency Response Team training

About you

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

• Experience in managing a large site, complex Training needs analysis
• Strong administrative skills and experience using online training systems
• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor
• High level computer literacy
• Ability to map training packages to recognised competencies (particularly RII packages)
• Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (Dump truck, Watercart, Grader, Dozer, Loader, Excavator, Rope Shovel) and/or a Mining Maintenance background will be an advantage
