Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a commercially minded Training & Capability Advisor to shape learning and capability outcomes across the business in Melbourne. You will identify capability gaps, analyse needs, and develop practical learning solutions that drive performance and reduce risk.

This role suits someone who enjoys consulting, problem-solving, and stakeholder partnering, with a focus on designing and improving learning experiences rather than facilitating traditional training.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Training, Learning & Development, Capability, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
  • Experience partnering with operational leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to analyse information and identify capability development opportunities.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or improving learning frameworks, tools, and resources.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within transport, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG, or other operational environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain capability frameworks, learning pathways, and training resources that support operational and compliance requirements.
  • Utilise AI and digital learning tools to improve content development, accessibility, and learner engagement.
  • Lead the review, testing, and continuous improvement of training materials, systems, and capability tools.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of learning initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support capability projects across multiple business units, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Learning & Development team to embed sustainable capability solutions across the organisation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded Training & Capability Advisor to help shape and enhance learning and capability outcomes across the business. Working closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and operational teams, you will identify capability gaps, analyse business needs, and develop practical learning solutions that drive performance and reduce risk.

Key Responsibilities
