Job summary

Golding is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor - Production to join our South Walker Creek project on a dayshift roster. This role focuses on delivering and coordinating mining production training, onboarding new starters and sustaining a strong culture of safety and competency.

You will monitor training plans, provide coaching and assessments in-field, and support NTI participants while aligning training activities with client requirements and Golding systems.

Qualifications

• On-site mining training and assessment experience.
• Strong focus on safety, competency-based training.
• Experience delivering operational, technical and safety training in mining.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate inductions, onboarding and crew placement for new starters;
• Maintain crew training plans, registers, schedules and records;
• Deliver operational, technical, safety and SHET training and assessments individually and in groups;
• Provide in-field coaching, mentoring and competency assessments;
• Support the NTI program and provide feedback on trainee progress;
• Maintain training resources, facilities and documentation;
• Support safety activities, including risk assessments, SWMS, toolbox talks and incident investigations;
• Assist with Journey Management Plans and site access requirements;
• Monitor and report on SHE and Training Management Plans;
• Ensure all training and assessment activities align with client requirements, Golding systems and values.

Golding is seeking an experienced and motivated Trainer & Assessor - Production to join our team at South Walker Creek project on a dayshift only, 8/6 roster!

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused training professional who enjoys working in the field, developing people and supporting a strong culture of competency, compliance and continuous improvement.

Role Details:

Reporting to the relevant SHET Superintendent, the Trainer & Assessor will support the delivery, coordination and monitoring of training and assessment activities across the Mining Production team.

You will play a key role in onboarding new employees, supporting New to Industry (NTI) participants, maintaining training plans and providing ongoing coaching and assessment to ensure our people are competent, confident and prepared to perform their roles safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate inductions, onboarding and crew placement for new starters;

Qualifications & Skillsets:

• Previous experience in a mining training and assessment role, within a production environment;
• Hands on experience operating heavy earth-moving equipment in a mining environment required;
• Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or as a minimum hold Front line TA units of competency and be willing to obtain Cert IV;
• Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment;
• Experience delivering operational, technical and safety training in a mining environment;
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate training records and plans;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• A proactive approach to identifying training needs and opportunities for improvement;
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
