Job summary

Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service – Thursday Island QLD invites applications for a HP3 Trainee Sonographer, a two-year training opportunity to complete your Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography while gaining hands-on experience.

Based on Thursday Island, you will work with highly experienced senior sonographers in a remote hospital setting, delivering broad imaging exposure across primary care, emergency, inpatient and remote healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must be a Radiographer with current CT experience.
• Interest in Ultrasound training through HP3 Trainee Sonographer program.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours CT/Radiography on-call.

Responsibilities

• Complete Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography over two years.
• Work under supervision of senior sonographers and clinicians.
• Contribute to imaging services including CT and radiography on Thursday Island.
