Connexus Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an entry-level Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. No recruitment experience is required; we hire for potential, drive and genuine people skills to build trust quickly and win new clients.

You'll split your time between developing client relationships, guiding candidates, and juggling live roles across engineering, architecture, construction and development sectors.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Entry level

We're growing, and looking for two trainee recruitment consultants to join us in October.

We want people who are genuinely good with people, from sales, customer service, call centres and client-facing roles, and ready for more.

You don't need recruitment experience. You need drive, curiosity and the ability to build trust with someone in the first five minutes of a conversation.

What you'll actually be doing

Part relationship management, part sales, part solving problems on the fly.

• Winning new clients and managing the ones you already have
• Talking daily with candidates about their next move
• Juggling live roles, interviews and deadlines at once
• Recruiting across engineering, construction, trades and infrastructure

No day looks the same. You could be telling a candidate they've landed their dream job one hour and closing a new client the next.

Where your background fits

• Account management, B2B sales or client relationship roles
• Call centre, admin or scheduling work with too many plates spinning
• Customer service where you were the one people asked for by name
• Any role built around targets, KPIs or bonuses
• A trade or labour background where you preferred the people to the tools

If you're personable, confident on the phone and motivated by building relationships as much as the money and progression, this will suit you.
