Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Australia is seeking a Trainee Laboratory Technician based at our Ormeau site. This role offers hands-on learning and a clear career path in the construction industry, with full training and mentoring provided.

You will support sampling and testing of asphalt, bitumen, aggregates, and soils, study for a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, and travel may be required. We value safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Learn and apply laboratory techniques in a real-site environment.
• Assist with sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, organized lab areas.

Responsibilities

• Commence studying a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.
• Assist with sampling and testing of asphalt, bitumen, emulsion, aggregates, and soils including onsite sampling.
• Assist with reporting, record keeping and calibrations including reporting non-conforming products.
• Conduct procedures safely and maintain housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds.
• Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence, travel will be required including away work.

Our Infrastructure Services business is seeking a committed Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our team based at our Ormeau site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn from the ground up and provide integral support, whilst commencing a stable and long-term career within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Commence studying a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.
• Assist with sampling and testing of asphalt, bitumen, emulsion, aggregates, and soils including onsite sampling.
• Assist with reporting, record keeping and calibrations including reporting non-conforming products.
• Conduct procedures safely and maintain good housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds.
• Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence, as travel will be required including away work based on the needs of the business.
