Job summary

LiveHire Limited is expanding its Home Care Workers team in the Victor Harbor/Goolwa region. We offer on-the-job training and a paid trajectory to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) during work time.

You will join as a part-time Home Care Worker with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week and flexibility to work up to 35 hours. Shifts run Mon-Fri between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with paid travel time between clients.

Qualifications

• Have a great attitude.
• Be reliable and have clear communication skills.
• Want to work with the elderly in their home.
• Have a willingness to learn and work.
• Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check.
• Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance.
• Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
• Have regular availability, minmum 3 regular days per week.
• Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks, and pass a fitness/health assessment.
• Desire to care for and help the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas).
• Bed making, room tidying up.
• Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client.
• Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community.
• Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming).
• Respite and Social Support.
• Ability to listen, build rapport, and work with a range of clients and staff.
