Job summary

Kinetic Group in Launceston, Tasmania, is looking for friendly, motivated people to become the new face of Australasia’s largest bus operator. No driving experience is required—the Car to Bus Licence Upgrade Program pays you while you train to upgrade to a Medium Rigid (MR) licence, followed by a five-week induction.

You’ll be supported for 12 months as you work toward a nationally recognised qualification and gain real-world driving experience.

• Willingness to obtain Tasmanian licence and authorisations.

No Experience? No Problem!

Our Car to Bus Licence Upgrade Program gives you everything you need to kickstart your driving career.

We’ll pay you while you train to upgrade your car licence to a Medium Rigid (MR) licence, followed by a five-week hands-on induction that combines classroom learning with on-road experience.

You’ll also receive ongoing mentoring and support for 12 months as you work towards a nationally recognised qualification, all while earning and gaining valuable real-world experience.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need bus driving experience, just the right attitude and a few key essentials:

• Great people skills and a customer-first mindset


• Held a Tasmanian Driver’s Licence for at least 2 years


• Willing to obtain a Tasmanian Driving Authorisation


• Willing to complete a pre-employment physical and medical check


• Full Australian working rights


• Reliable, punctual, and a team player


• Please note you must be available to attend an assessment centre on the 3rd of June 2026.


• This position will be commencing Mid July 2026
