Job summary

LiveHire Limited is offering a Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver Program in Melbourne, providing induction, on-road experience and a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus). The program includes industry-leading pay during training, buddy support, and opportunities to be based at inner city or west depots servicing Melbourne.

• Are willing to undertake a pre-employment functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
• Are willing to obtain Driver Accreditation (CPV) and Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Complete induction training and on-road driving to obtain HR licence.
• Progress through training for Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).
• Support safe, courteous passenger service as a trainee bus driver.
• Attend assessment centre at North Fitzroy depot for interview and drive test.

Our Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver Program provides the support, training, and confidence you need to become a licensed and professional bus driver. This includes:

• Extensive induction training combining classroom learning and on-road experience to obtain your Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
• Obtaining a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus)
• Industry-leading pay throughout your training journey
• A dedicated buddy and support network to guide your development
• Opportunities to be based at our inner city or west depot (North Fitzroy & Sunshine West) servicing communities throughout Melbourne's inner city and western suburbs

We’re after people with:

• Excellent customer service skills and who enjoy working with people
• Hold a current Australian car driver’s licence (full licence held for minimum of 2 years)
• Have full Australian work rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
• Are willing to undertake a pre-employment functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
• Are willing to obtain a Driver Accreditation (CPV) and Working With Children Check
