Job summary

ACT Certification Services Pty Ltd – Canberra ACT is seeking a Trainee Building Certifier to join a young, family‑run firm. The role offers a 38‑hour permanent full-time schedule in Belconnen with mentorship, paid study leave, and career progression toward A4/A3 Building Inspector levels.

You’ll learn building codes, inspections and approvals, while enjoying a supportive team and opportunities to advance from trainee to accredited certifier.

Qualifications

• Construction background and related experience preferred.
• Problem-solving mindset, curiosity and teamwork.
• Clear communication and accountability in projects.
• Experience with MS Office and basic project tools.
• White Card/Asbestos or Silica training bonus; company supports.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing plans and drawings.
• Attend site inspections and develop independent skills over time.
• Maintain clear records of projects and approvals.
• Communicate with government, architects and homeowners.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
