Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a seasoned leader to head the Traffic and Public Assets function within the Infrastructure Directorate. You will shape strategic direction, drive performance and lead a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, accessible public spaces and infrastructure for the community.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will manage budgets, develop plans and build strong relationships with government agencies, developers and Councillors to deliver customer-focused services

Formación

• Proven leadership of technical or infrastructure-focused teams.
• Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments including community, political and government settings.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Provide strategic leadership across traffic, transport and public asset services.
• Drive service excellence, operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide expert and strategic advice on complex technical, community and regulatory matters.
• Oversee the development of policies, plans, business cases and major initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, developers and Councillors.
• Manage budgets, resources and service delivery outcomes to ensure value for the community.
• Contribute to the long-term planning and future direction of public infrastructure across the Shire.
