The City of Gold Coast is seeking a professional Traffic Engineer to provide expert advice and shape the city’s transport infrastructure. You will work with the Coordinator Traffic Engineering to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable solutions across road infrastructure, ITS, active transport, public transport and road safety projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in civil engineering with traffic/transport experience.
• C Class drivers licence (unrestricted) mandatory.
• White card or willingness to obtain.

Aufgaben

• Identify solutions to complex traffic management, road safety, parking, pedestrian, cyclist and public transport issues.
• Conduct autonomous field investigations.
• Review infrastructure design drawings for standards and council policies.
• Develop and review signage and line marking plans.
• Undertake road safety audits, crash investigations and speed limit reviews.
• Liaise with residents, Councillors and State Government agencies.
• Provide input into internal policies and procedures.
• Respond to customer and Councillor requests via the council system.
• Prepare reports and correspondence on transport and traffic matters.
