City of Gold Coast is seeking a professional Traffic Engineer to advise on transport infrastructure and shape the City’s safe, efficient system. You will work with the Coordinator Traffic Engineering to deliver operational and innovative solutions across road safety, active transport and public transport projects.

You will respond to traffic and parking enquiries, investigate issues, undertake studies, audits and speed limit reviews, and liaise with residents, Councillors and government

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience in traffic/transport.
• C Class Driver's Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)
• General Construction Induction Card (White) or willingness to obtain
• Can-do attitude with passion for health and safety

Aufgaben

• Identify solutions to complex traffic management, road safety, parking, pedestrian, cyclist and public transport issues.
• Conduct autonomous field investigations.
• Review infrastructure design drawings for standards and policies.
• Develop and review signage and line marking plans.
• Undertake road safety audits, crash investigations and speed limit reviews.
• Liaise with residents, Councillors and State Government agencies.
• Provide input into internal policies and procedures.
• Respond to customer and Councillor requests using Council’s software.
• Prepare reports and correspondence on transport and traffic engineering matters.
