The City of Gold Coast is seeking a Civic-minded Traffic Engineer to join the Traffic Engineering team. You will place safety at the centre of infrastructure decisions and design innovative solutions for the city’s transport network.

You’ll support the Coordinator of Traffic Engineering by delivering professional advice on planning and operation of a safe, efficient and sustainable transport system, liaising with residents, Councillors and government agencies, and delivering concrete

Qualificações

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in traffic and transport sector or related field.
• C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted) mandatory.
• General Construction Induction Card (White).
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication with advisory capabilities.
• Analytical, problem solving and investigative skills for evidence-based decisions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Solve complex traffic engineering problems.
• Conduct autonomous field investigations with safety-focused approach.
• Liaise with residents, Councillors and State Government agencies.
• Identify and address traffic management, road safety, parking, pedestrian and public transport issues.
• Develop and install measures to reduce injury severity in rural and hinterland locations.
• Deliver signage and line marking plans; review road reconstruction drawings.
• Undertake road safety audits.
